Welcome back to the start of a new season. LSRC will be offering a number of fixtures running from September of this year all the way through to April. The fixture list this year appears healthy and we have a new fixture against Wimbledon Rackets Club which I am very much looking forward to.
We will be using a number of venues and hope to get some access to Fitness First Monument so as to be able to offer members some club night squash against other members of the club in a more relaxed environment.
As has been circulated to members in the Club, there has been a slight shift in the Committee in that I have moved from the position of Chairman to President and will slowly be handing those reigns over to William Murray-Willis over the course of the season. It is very kind of him to make himself available to help us out and I wish him the best in this role.
We are probably over-due a tour so if anyone would like to put their hand up to arrange something then please get in contact with William or myself.
I hope we can offer something to those players that take an interest in our Club. We offer a broad selection of fixtures and hopefully club nights so I hope we have something to offer to all standards.
Any queries then please get in touch with myself, Simon, or Will. Our details are on the Committee page. Thanks.
Lloyd’s will be repeating their fixture against the Essex Ladies U17s again in October. It was an excellent new fixture for us last season and the Essex team had some very strong representation in their squad, particularly at the top of their order. Following that match, Matt Cosby was able to convince his company, Miles Smith, to make a contribution towards their team and we look forward to following their progress over the coming season.
The current annual membership for the club is £25 which covers all court and associated running costs of the club. However, certain matches will require a small contribution from players should dinner be held following a particular fixture. Matches are in a variety of locations and we hope to resurrect Club nights shortly. Should you wish to join… or you require further information on the club, please go to the Committee page.
Fixtures start at around 7pm typically.
Please contact Simon firstname.lastname@example.org should you wish to play in a particular game.
Of further note, the Club now has a group page on www.myslipcase.co.uk.
